In a decisive move to forestall crime and guarantee a hitch-free Easter celebration, the Anambra State Police Command has rolled out the first phase of a comprehensive Easter security operation across the state.
The initiative signals a shift from routine policing to a more intelligence-driven and proactive approach, as operatives intensify night patrols and strategically dominate public spaces to deter criminal elements.
Unlike conventional deployments, the Command has introduced a tactical doctrine anchored on the Police Mobile Force’s “Triple S” strategy—Silence, Speed, and Surprise—aimed at outsmarting potential threats before they materialize. Officers have been expressly directed to carry out operations discreetly, respond swiftly, and maintain the element of surprise in confronting criminal activities.
Security presence has already been heightened in key locations, with a visible increase in patrol teams and rapid response units positioned to act at short notice.
Reassuring residents, the Police said the operation is not just a seasonal measure but part of a sustained effort to consolidate safety across Anambra State. The Command emphasized its readiness to protect lives and property before, during, and after the festive period.
Residents have also been urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring that Easter celebrations in the state remain peaceful and crime-free.
