APC chairman, Yilwatda visits El-Rufai over mother’s d£ath


The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Nasir El-Rufai at his residence in Abuja.

Yilwatda visited to commiserate with El-Rufai over the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo after a period of illness.

Reports indicated that several prominent political figures have also visited the former Kaduna State governor to express their sympathies during the mourning period.

Among those who have paid condolence visits are Dikko Umar Radda; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi; former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami; and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The visits come as family members, political allies, and associates continue to gather in solidarity with El-Rufai following the loss of his mother.
