Attack on Dubai by Iran: Tehran issues chilling warning to UAE, warns to invade Dubai and other cities if Trump launches ground attack, why is Iran targeting Dubai?

In a major development, Iran has issued a strong warning to former US President Donald Trump. Tehran said it could target the UAE and Bahrain if the US launches a ground invasion of Iranian territory. Tensions are rising despite an extended ceasefire. The US naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has also caused disruptions. Iran has set three key red lines, including control over the Strait and a strong response to any ground attack.

Iran’s 3 Key Rules for the US

According to Iran’s state-owned Fars News Agency, Tehran has shared three important “rules of the game” with Washington:

1st Rule: If the US carries out a ground attack, Iran will target Bahrain and the UAE.

2nd Rule: Any attack on Iranian infrastructure will put the entire region’s oil and power facilities at risk.

3rd Rule: Any assassination attempt will be met with a strong and pre-declared response.

Ships Seized in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian state media showed videos of naval forces seizing vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The footage showed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel boarding a ship named MSC Francesca.

Another vessel, Epaminondas, was also reportedly captured. Iran claimed both ships tried to pass through the Strait without permission. According to reports, the captain of one vessel ignored warnings, after which Iranian forces opened fire and seized it.

Early Strikes Impact UAE and Gulf Region

During the early phase of the conflict, the UAE was heavily affected by Iranian airstrikes. Dubai saw major disruptions, including airport shutdowns and thousands of cancelled flights. At least 12 people were killed.

Iran also carried out attacks in other Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, causing dozens of deaths.

Iran Proposes 3-Stage Peace Plan

Iran has also suggested a three-step plan to restart peace talks with the US after earlier discussions failed:

Stage 1: End the war and ensure it does not restart.

Stage 2: Hold talks on control of the Strait of Hormuz.

Stage 3: Discuss the nuclear issue only after progress is made in the first two stages.
