BREAKING: Kwankwaso to obtain ADC membership card Monday

The umbrella body of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso support group, the Kwankwasiyya Movement, on Saturday directed all its members nationwide to obtain membership card of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement by the spokesperson of the movement, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed said the decision was endorsed by Kwankwaso, who is also expected to join the coalition seeking to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
“The Kwankwasiyya Movement wishes to formally inform all its members across Nigeria and the general public that our Supreme Leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has concluded all necessary arrangements to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“In furtherance of this decision, he will officially register with the party on Monday, 30th March 2026, at his residence, Gidan Kwankwasiyya, Miller Road, Kano, by 12pm,” the statement added.
With this development, Kwankwaso has now parted ways with the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, the party on whose platform he contested the 2023 presidential election.
Kwankwaso will join other opposition figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Chief Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Nasir El-Rufai, Abubakar Malami and several other key politicians seeking to oust the Tinubu administration in the forthcoming election.
