Caitlyn Jenner Says Accepting Glamour Honor Was a Mistake: I’m a Hypocrite!
Caitlyn Jenner says she now regrets accepting Glamour’s Woman of the Year award in 2015.
During an appearance on Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, Jenner said she feels like a “hypocrite” because of her current position opposing transgender women competing in women’s sports.
“It’s not like I want to protect the LGBT community, I want to protect women,” Jenner said. “It’s not right. So I fought this battle from the Lia Thomas days until today. And I thought, ‘What a hypocrite I am.’ Here I am fighting this battle: biological men out of women’s sports. But back when I came out, what did I accept? Glamour’s Woman of the Year award.”
Jenner, 75, said she now sees a conflict between accepting the honor and the views she has publicly shared in recent years.
Caitlyn Jenner calls self a “HYPOCRITE” for accepting Glamour’s “Woman of the Year” award.
Comes to the realization that perhaps it was “not right” the same way it isn’t right for biological men to steal titles in women’s sports.

“What a hypocrite!” she said. “I’m still XY. Biologically, I’m female. But genetically, I’m still XY. There’s nothing I can do about that. And I’m fine with it. I’m just glad I can wake up in the morning and just be myself.”
The comments marked a shift from Jenner’s acceptance speech at Glamour’s 2015 event, when she quoted Simone de Beauvoir and said, “You are not born woman. You become one.”
Jenner announced in 2024 that she had returned the award. In a post on X, she wrote, “I can no longer in good faith hold onto this award.”
Jenner also said she believes the country has changed significantly since she came out publicly in 2015.
