Claressa Shields hopped online to clapback after a TikTok video criticizing her appearance went viral.
The boxing champion responded on social media after creator melaninhipsterr posted a clip claiming Shields suffers from what she called “Ugly Girl Syndrome.” In the video, the creator described it as a woman becoming overly submissive in relationships because she is supposedly unattractive.
“Y’all keep calling me ugly every single day on my page,” Shields fired back in a video shared online. “I am so tired of it. I am not ugly; I am beautiful. I am the baddest woman walking this earth.”
The 31-year-old boxer went on to list her accomplishments, including her Olympic medals and championship titles.
