Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Saturday marked the 111th anniversary of the Canakkale Land Battles.
“On the 111th anniversary of the Canakkale Land Battles, I respectfully commemorate all our heroes, led by Gazi Mustafa Kemal, who engaged in an epic struggle for our independence and future,” Erdoğan said on Turkish social media platform Nsosyal.
Erdoğan also commemorated fallen soldiers and veterans, expressing gratitude for their sacrifice.
