The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, FCT MPWB, will hold the third phase of its Education and Orientation Exercise for intending Hajj pilgrims this weekend, the board has announced.
The two-day program is scheduled to run from Saturday, March 28, to Sunday, March 29, is meant to educate intending pilgrims who registered for the 2026 Hajj through the Board.
Speaking with journalists in his office, Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, described the program as “crucial to intending pilgrims, which intends to impart essential knowledge on how to perform an acceptable Hajj in an acceptable Islamic manner.”
He said the exercise would cover Saudi policy directives for Hajj, the rules and regulations of both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia regarding immigration and customs, drug administration and trafficking dangers, as well as personal hygiene and safety measures.
While stressing that the lessons are designed for the benefits of the intending pilgrims, Kadiri also assured that the board has put all necessary measures in place to ensure the program, and subsequent Hajj activities, are a success.
He reaffirmed the board’s commitment to improved pilgrim welfare, including better accommodations, timely airlift of pilgrims, and other logistical preparations for the 2026 Hajj and beyond.
The third phase follows two previous rounds of education and orientation, compulsory medical screening, and the issuance of visas and travel documents, as part of early preparations to guarantee a hitch-free pilgrimage, in line with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, and Saudi Arabian Hajj policies for 2026.
