The federal government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has pledged to end insecurity in Zamfara and other states affected by banditry in the North-west.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Tinubu at the event, stated this while receiving Governor Dauda Lawal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Tuesday in Gusau.
He described Governor Lawal’s APC return as a major breakthrough.
He added that the federal government will work closely with the Zamfara state government to end terrorism and restore peace in the state.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is concerned about insecurity in Zamfara and other affected states in North west and the federal government under his leadership is working round the clock to contain the terrain,” he said.
