Tristan Thompson‘s name has been in the headlines for a few reasons lately.
TMZ reported that the former Cleveland Cavaliers player was spotted smiling and posing with fans at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on April 25. That dinner made international news for a shooting that was believed to be an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump’s life.
Another reason is that Thompson recently filed for conservatorship over his brother, Amari. According to the filing, Amari “suffers from an intellectual disability and developmental delay and is unable to take care of his personal needs.” He is “unable to live independently and relies on” Tristan to care for him. Additionally, Amari is “unable to handle any financial transactions.” He “does not object to the proposed conservator” and “does not wish to contest the establishment of a conservatorship.”
And weeks earlier, Thompson did an interview in which he talked about the mothers of his children and shared that the women get along and are all “friends.” Here’s more about that.

Thompson’s first child, Prince Oliver Thompson, was born in 2016 to his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
She is a model and social media personality. At the time of Prince’s birth, Thompson and Craig had ended their relationship, but both have remained involved in co-parenting Prince.

In 2018, Thompson welcomed his second child, True Thompson, with Khloé Kardashian. She is a reality TV star and member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan with whom Thompson had a high-profile relationship with for years. That attracted intense media scrutiny, particularly surrounding reports of infidelity.
Despite public challenges, the two continued to co-parent their daughter together.

In 2022, Thompson and Kardashian welcomed another child, Tatum Thompson.
He was born via surrogate following their previous relationship. Although Thompson and Kardashian were no longer together at the time, they have continued to raise their children through their co-parenting arrangement.

Before Tatum, Thompson fathered a third child, Theo Thompson, in 2021 with Maralee Nichols.
She is a fitness model. The circumstances surrounding Theo’s birth became the subject of legal proceedings and media coverage, with Thompson later confirming his paternity publicly.
‘All family’ in a ‘great place’
On a recent episode of The Katie Miller podcast, Thompson talked about his co-parenting dynamic with the mothers of his kids and their relationships with each other.
“We’re all friends. We’re all family,” he explained. “At the end of the day, we’re all family. We all have each other’s contact info. We’re all in a great place because I think that’s the No. 1 thing. No matter how you chop it up and no matter how you want to put it together, we’re all tied together, and our kids are all siblings, and they’re going to be in each other’s lives for a long time.”
