Horrifying video shows a motorcycle slamming into a car in Russia, killing the rider and seriously injuring the passenger as both were flung through the air.
Security footage shows the motorcycle failing to slow as it plows into a Renault in Sunday’s deadly crash in Krasnodar Krai, close to Russia’s border with Ukraine.
The force of the crash sends the motorcycle’s rider hurtling over the hood of the car while the second passenger is left sprawled across the front.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger, also 23, was severely wounded and rushed to a nearby hospital.
The passenger was not wearing a helmet, officials said.
The motorcycle was smashed up while Renault was badly damaged at the front, footage released by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnodar Krai showed.
There was no indication of any possible injuries sustained by the Renault driver.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
