According to a report by Punch on Saturday April 4, 2026, Igwemba stated that he does not drink alcohol in real life. He said he discovered he is allergic to alcohol, and whenever he tried drinking it, he would fall ill for days. He also stated that he used to be a smoker but has since stopped smoking
Igwemba said he got the idea for Klint the Drunk from a caretaker in his village named Scattermodule. He explained that the man was a drunkard who acted and spoke in a funny way
In Igwemba’s words: “Interestingly, I do not drink alcohol. I discovered I am allergic to it. Whenever I tried, I would fall sick for days. I also struggled with smoking at a point, but I eventually stopped”
