Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has fired heavy shots at VeryDarkMan and his fans, popularly known as Ratels, amid ongoing feud online.
The outspoken musician didn’t hold back as he questioned their loyalty and accused them of lacking the courage to stand by their actions.
“You people that call yourself Ratels, una no reach rats, una small pass rats. That’s why all the nonsense your oga posted, he ran and started deleting it. You people don’t have mind. You guys can never do anything and stand on it,” he said.
Seun Kuti also addressed claims surrounding his relationship with human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, making it clear that his loyalty is not up for debate.
He further expressed anger over comments allegedly made by VDM, insisting that he never saw any real support from him.
“I go deal with una finish. I don dey prepare am, una go soon hear the news, una go start begging and crying. Even VDM said he came out to fight for me, I didn’t see anywhere he fought for me. He only said don’t insult Fela, insult Seun. What kind of friend will say make people go insult him friend?
You all are cowards. You said I put Sowore’s face in my house, I put one friend’s face, I didn’t put the other one. Na una give me money to build house? Do you know my relationship with Sowore? I have known him for longer than VDM has been alive. I can stand for Sowore at any point in time. I no be una maid,” he added.
The controversy between Seun Kuti and VDM and his fanbase, Ratels, comes after he showed support for Sowore following his involvement in BLord’s case, who was arrested and detained following actions linked to VDM.
