Ice Spice is pushing back against a lawsuit from wig company Thee Bella Brand, arguing the dispute should be treated as a straightforward business disagreement instead of a public spectacle.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the rapper recently filed a response to the company’s claims that she failed to pay roughly $20,000 for 25 custom wigs.
Thee Bella Brand sued Ice Spice in 2025, alleging she ordered the wigs, accepted them and never paid. The company also accused the rapper of damaging its reputation through social media posts and claimed those actions cost the business major opportunities. In the suit, the company sought more than $400,000 in damages, including compensation for lost business and punitive damages.
In her new filing, Ice Spice said Thee Bella Brand has been “overly dramatic” in its handling of the case. She also alleged the company is trying to create “public pressure” by taking the disagreement to court.
The rapper argued that Thee Bella Brand has not provided proof that her social media activity caused any measurable harm to the business. She said the matter, at most, amounts to a breach of contract claim tied to the wigs themselves.
The company is seeking to depose the rapper.
