Nollywood actor Laide Olabanji has stirred reactions online after sharing his views on political campaigning and the motives of some government supporters.

The actor, in a recent statement, criticised individuals who actively campaign for the current government, alleging that their support is driven by financial gain rather than genuine belief in leadership.

“All the people campaigning for the present government now, if the government calls them and tells them that there’s no money on ground for them, they won’t see anybody again,” he said.

He further claimed that such individuals would abandon their support if financial incentives were removed.

“All of them are campaigning because of the money, it’s only because of their pocket,” he added.
