JUST IN: APC sets N100 million for 2027 presidential form, releases date for primaries

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) released the timetable for the primary elections ahead of the 2027 polls.

In a statement issued by Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary on Monday, April 20, said details of the activities for the 2027 general elections are contained in the Schedule of Activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.

Moral said, “The timetable outlines, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the Party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals,” Morka said.

Also, the presidential primaries will be conducted between Friday, May 15 and Saturday May 26, while the House of Representatives elections will take place on Monday, May 18.

The primary election for the Senatorial seats will take place on Wednesday, May 20; the State House of Assembly, will be conducted on Thursday, May 21, and that of Governors will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

In addition, the party also set the presidential and governorship forms at N100 million and ₦50 million respectively.

The forms for the House of Assembly have been set at N6 million; the House of Representatives, N10 million and the Senate, N20 million.

According to the party, the forms can be procured at the APC National Secretariat) between Saturday, April 25 and Saturday, May 2, 2026.
