A major political realignment is underway as the Kwankwasiyya Movement has confirmed that its leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will formally join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday, March 30, 2026.
According to a press statement issued by the movement, Kwankwaso is scheduled to officially register with the ADC at his residence in Gidan Kwankwasiyya, Miller Road, Kano, at 12 p.m.
The announcement has already stirred conversations across Nigeria’s political space, with the movement urging its supporters nationwide to immediately begin registration with the ADC at ward, local government, and state levels.
Spokesperson for the movement, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, said the decision followed broad consultations and reflects the movement’s long-standing commitment to democratic governance and inclusive leadership.
