The air interdiction carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has destroyed terrorist logistics hubs at Guduf in the Mandara Mountains, a known insurgent enclave.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) said the decisive operation, conducted on 27 April 2026, forms part of its sustained counter-terrorism campaign aimed at weakening terrorist networks in the North-East.
In a statement, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, explained that the mission was executed based on credible intelligence and prior confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).
He noted that NAF air assets carried out a coordinated strike that successfully identified multiple terrorist structures and logistics hubs actively supporting insurgent operations within the area.
According to him, precision targeting was employed in strict compliance with rules of engagement.
“NAF platforms engaged and neutralised hostile elements and their infrastructure with lethal accuracy, while maintaining due regard for the protection of civilians and the surrounding environment,” the statement said.
The Air Force added that the operation led to the destruction of key terrorist facilities and logistics bases, significantly degrading their operational capability.
It further stressed that the strike reinforces the service’s sustained efforts to deny adversaries freedom of action, while strengthening national security through continuous and precise air operations.
