NWC reaffirmation ‘ll boost APC victory in 2027 – MA Abubakar

Former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar SAN, has described the reaffirmation of the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee at the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention 2026 as a strategic step toward consolidating the party’s national dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Abuja at the close of the convention, Abubakar said the outcome demonstrates institutional maturity, leadership continuity, and the growing confidence of party stakeholders in the APC’s capacity to remain Nigeria’s most formidable political platform.

“The successful reaffirmation of our national leadership is a clear message of stability and shared purpose,” he stated.

“It provides the party with the cohesion required to strengthen its grassroots reach and expand support for President Tinubu across the federation.”

Abubakar expressed strong confidence that the renewed National Executive will galvanize nationwide support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and further consolidate the APC’s influence in key electoral states.

According to him, “the task before the National Working Committee is to translate the unity witnessed at the convention into coordinated mobilisation at every level of the party structure.”

He stressed that the APC’s control of more than 30 states and its broad national spread place it in a strong position to secure a sweeping mandate in 2027.

“From Bauchi, we are fully aligned with this renewed direction. Our people understand the value of continuity, and we are committed to delivering overwhelming support for President Tinubu and the APC in the next election cycle,” he said.

Calling on party faithful to sustain the momentum generated by the convention, Abubakar urged members returning to their various states to intensify mobilisation, reconciliation, and voter engagement.

“The real work begins now at the grassroots. Every ward, every local government, and every stakeholder must take ownership of this renewed mandate so that the APC emerges even stronger in 2027,” he said, while wishing delegates safe journeys back to their destinations.

In Bauchi’s evolving political landscape, Abubakar continues to stand out as the most favoured and broadly accepted governorship contender, widely trusted to galvanize block votes for President Tinubu and position the APC for a commanding victory in the state in 2027.
