Peter Obi meets UK, EU, France envoys in Abuja


Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party Nigeria, Peter Obi, on Wednesday held a breakfast meeting with diplomats from several foreign missions in Abuja.

The meeting brought together representatives from key international partners, including the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, as well as envoys from the European Union, Germany, Canada, and France.

Sharing details of the engagement through his official account on X, Obi described the meeting as productive and beneficial.

He noted that the discussions focused on strengthening relationships and encouraging cooperation between Nigeria and international partners.

Obi stated that the session provided an opportunity for dialogue on issues of mutual interest, describing it as “an enriching discussion,” aimed at deepening partnerships and exploring areas of collaboration.

The meeting comes amid ongoing political and diplomatic engagements involving key Nigerian leaders and members of the international community, reflecting growing interest in dialogue on governance, development, and cooperation.
