Pope Leo XIV will receive US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Vatican next week, Italy’s ANSA news agency reported on Sunday.
The pope is expected to meet Rubio on May 7, although the meeting is not yet on the pontiff’s agenda, according to the news agency.
Rubio will also meet with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, ANSA said, citing sources.
