Professor Charles Soludo has been sworn in for a second time period as Governor of Anambra State.
Soludo took the oath of workplace at an inauguration ceremony held on the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Sq. in Awka, the state capital, on Tuesday.
The governor was inaugurated alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, in a ceremony that drew a constellation of political heavyweights from throughout Nigeria.
Vice President Kashim Shettima represented the Federal Authorities on the occasion, whereas former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan have been additionally in attendance.

Former Commonwealth Secretary-Common Emeka Anyaoku, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and a number of other different governors equally graced the event.
Soludo’s return to workplace follows a landslide victory within the November 8, 2025 governorship election, through which the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee declared him the winner after he polled 422,664 votes.
His closest rival, the All Progressives Congress candidate Nicholas Ukachukwu, scored 99,445 votes, whereas the Younger Progressives Celebration’s Sir Paul Chukwuma got here third with 37,753 votes. Sixteen candidates from varied political events participated within the election.
Soludo’s dominance was underscored by his sweep of all 21 native authorities areas of the state. Out of two,788,864 registered voters, 598,229 have been accredited, with a complete of 595,298 votes forged and 11,244 rejected throughout the state.
