Someone Asked For My Account Number on TikTok, When I Checked My Phone, I Saw N200,000 Credit – Ray

Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Murphy Ray has opened up about his struggle to find profitable acting jobs and how he now makes money on TikTok live as a side hustle.…WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

Speaking on Talk to B podcast, Ray explained that acting these days no longer pays well.

He noted that a five-day job might pay N100,000 with hotel and feeding included. But after spending on miscellaneous things, little money remains by the time he gets home.

Ray then shared a surprising experience from his TikTok live sessions. Someone asked for his account number during a broadcast.

When he checked his phone, he saw an alert of N200,000. Another person later sent him N50,000. He made it clear that he never begged for these gifts.

According to Ray, your helper can be anywhere in the world. You cannot see or predict where your help will come from.

He now sees TikTok live as a serious side hustle since acting alone cannot sustain him.

His words: “Acting nowadays isn’t very profitable. Let’s say I’m given N100,000 for a five-day job, with hotel and feeding covered. Most times, miscellaneous expenses consume almost all of the 100k before I even get home. But on TikTok, people I don’t know usually send me money. Someone once asked for my account number and when I checked my phone I saw that he sent me N200,000; another person sent me N50,000. And it’s not that I beg them. Your helper can be anywhere. You can’t see who or where your help is.”
