Former Zamfara state governors, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, and Senator Abdulaziz Yari, have endorsed Governor Dauda Lawal as the APC governorship candidate for 2027 in the state.
They announced this at Governor Lawal’s welcome ceremony to the APC, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Matawalle urged his supporters to back Governor Lawal in the upcoming election.
“I want to inform the good people of Zamfara and my supporters that I have no any other candidate than Governor Dauda Lawal come 2027 under our great party APC in Zamfara state and I am calling on my supporters to support him,” Matawalle stated.
Also speaking, Senator Abdulaziz Yari declared APC as one, saying that, Governor Lawal’s return will bring unity and development to the state.
Both leaders called on the APC members and supporters to rally behind Governor Lawal.
The event was held at the Zamfara Trade Fair complex in Gusau.
