The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully repelled two separate attacks by suspected armed bandits in Maru and Bukkuyum local government areas.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, said this in Gusau Friday.
He said, “On the April 10, 2026, bandits attacked police personnel at the Kadauri/Kizawa axis in Maru LGA,” but the operatives repelled the attack, forcing the attackers to retreat with gunshot injuries.
The spokesperson also disclosed that, “Later that day, bandits attacked Yar Galma village in Bukkuyum LGA,” leading one vigilante sustaining a gunshot injury.
The police image maker stated that four residents also sustained gunshot injuries, noting that the police had restored normalcy in the areas and continued to patrol and monitor the situation.
The Command therefore urged the public to support security agencies with credible information about the terrorists’ movement for prompt response.
