2027: Tinubu defeated you with governors, structures in 2023 — Daniel Bwala fires back at Atiku over ‘coalition’ claim

A presidential aide to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has dismissed claims by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar that a coalition of opposition forces would make President Tinubu “dead on arrival” in the 2027 election.

Bwala, reacting in a post on X, argued that Atiku had already tested a similar coalition in 2023 but still lost to Tinubu despite having stronger political backing at the time.

“My former boss @atiku said ‘with a coalition candidate, President Tinubu @officialABAT is dead on arrival. Lol,” Bwala wrote.

He further pointed out that Atiku contested the 2023 presidential election with considerable political support, including governors, states, and party structures, yet failed to defeat Tinubu.

“But we know you are the coalition candidate YET (no vex sir), he defeated you in 2023 when you had governors, states, and structures. These governors, states and structures are with him,” Bwala stated.

The presidential aide also dismissed the strength of any new alliance being proposed ahead of 2027, describing those involved as politically weakened figures without significant grassroots influence.

“With a coalition of aggrieved ‘STATELESS’ leaders, I doubt if President Tinubu would bother to check the scoreboard on the day,” he added.

Bwala’s remarks come amid growing discussions about possible opposition alliances ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with political stakeholders weighing strategies to challenge the ruling party.
