Roby Ekpo opens up on failed marriage, claims ex-wife used contraceptives during 11-year marriage

Media personality and entrepreneur, Roby Ekpo, has shared emotional details about the collapse of his 11-year marriage, revealing that he is now 48 years old without a child and alleging that his former wife used contraceptives during their relationship.

Ekpo made the disclosure during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he recounted the challenges he faced in what he described as a long-distance marriage with broadcaster, Mayowa.

According to him, the marriage began to unravel after he reportedly came across his ex-wife’s wedding pictures online, an incident he said marked a turning point in their already strained relationship.

Ekpo also alleged that he later became aware of a message his former wife allegedly sent to another person, expressing dissatisfaction with the marriage. In the message, she reportedly claimed that love had not benefited her and accused him of not providing adequate care, failing to satisfy her sexually, and not supporting her spiritual growth and overall well-being.

He further claimed that during the marriage, his ex-wife once travelled to Miami, telling him she was going for a medical procedure aimed at helping her conceive. However, he said he later discovered that the trip was allegedly for a different purpose.

Sharing his experience, Ekpo said:

> “I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid. I started going for sperm test despite being a Calabar man. I now got to find out that she was taking contraceptives.

> She traveled to Miami to do BBL after telling me she was going for surgery for something that would be able to make her conceive.”

His revelation has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users expressing mixed opinions over the claims and the challenges surrounding long-distance marriages.

While Ekpo shared his side of the story during the podcast, there has been no public response yet from his ex-wife regarding the allegations at the time of filing this report.

The interview continues to generate conversation across social media platforms, as listeners weigh in on relationships, trust, and communication in marriage.
