US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he will be extending the ceasefire with Iran until a proposal is submitted to end the war permanently. In a post on Truth Social, the president said that Pakistan, the lead mediator in ongoing negotiations, requested the move and that the truce was due to Iran’s government being “seriously fractured.” The United States will, however, continue the blockade of Iranian ports, he added.
