The Labour Party Nigeria has dismissed claims that Alex Otti is campaigning for Bola Tinubu ahead of future elections, insisting the party remains independent and focused on its own political strategy.

National Publicity Secretary of the Nenadi Usman-led Labour Party, Obioma Iheanacho, said the party is rebuilding after internal crises and has now stabilised following a national convention that produced new leadership, including Usman as national chairman.

He acknowledged that the exit of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has impacted the party but said many supporters remain, and efforts are ongoing to strengthen its base.

He also clarified that Governor Otti has not publicly declared support for President Tinubu, describing any such claims as personal interpretations rather than official party policy.
