Adamawa State Government through the State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ADSPHCDA), in collaborations with the Society For Family Health on Wednesday in Yola, launched an integrated health facility flip chart geared towards changing the narratives of the health sector in the state, especially in the area of health messages.
Speaking at the launch of the project in Yola, Mr. Micheal Titus of the Society For Family Health said is very crucial considering its impacts in the health sector.
He said it would go along way to ensure that many of their frontline health workers in various health facilities have a uniform and standardised messages to pass to patients for effective service delivery.
He noted that what they have in most states is fragmented chart flips for various diseases which led to alot of missed opportunities.
He further added that they have identified alot of gaps and health competition tools in the state most of which were not addressing everything due to their fragmentation which also make government to spend alot of money to print different tools.
According to him, the society for family Health has produced 400 copies of this flip chart to be distributed to various health facilities across the state stressing that they have been operating in the state for over 15 years and currently have 3 ongoing projects in the state which has to do with child spacing, Malaria and other intervations.
On his part, the Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ADSPHCDA), Dr. Bashir Saidu, reiterated the commitments of the state government to collaborate with all partners to change the narratives of the Health sector in the state.
He assured that the state government will produced 500 copies of the flip chart to further compliment this efforts.
H urged other partners to also support the gesture so that it can go round, adding that there are over 700 health facilities across the state.
Dr.Bashir also added that Adamawa state needs a minimum of 4000 copies of this Health facility flip chart to be distributed to various health facilities across the state, assuring partners who will supports the project that their logo and organizational identity would be rightly captured in the chat allying fears of some partners.
